Dear All ;
I want to decide whether to buy two cards of NI-9234 with 4 channel or one card of NI-9231 with 8 channels for sound and vibration application. As you can see in the attachment, I compared these two cards, their technical specifications are the same. Only NI 9231 needs Coaxial Male to BNC Female . However, I expected that since NI-9231 has 8 channels, its price would be double the price of the NI-9234 but it is not. So if you were me, do you buy two NI-9234 or one NI-9231?
thank you in advance for your help
Best regards
Mahsa

Though at a higher level both are similar in specifications, digging deeper reveals quite interesting differences - for example, passband filter response, dynamic range, timebase accuracy, minimum timebase rate.

Thank you for your great hint.
Indeed, I want to use this sound and vibration card in CRIO and I have to synchronize several modules with each other to measure simultaneously using accelerometers, microphones, and some other digital inputs and sending some digital outputs. So synchronization is very important in my application. Indeed, I'm not enough familiar with the master time base period but when I compared these two cards I noticed considerable difference in minimum and maximum internal master time base. (no idea about external master time base),which of these two cards would be the appropriate selection if I need a master for synchronization as well. Indeed, the pass band filters are important and I need to have a trade-off to select two cards of NI-9234 or one card of NI 9231.
I will appreciate it if you please help me in this regard
best regards
Mahsa
