PXIe 6363: Maximum current output for AI channels?

Solved!
Go to solution

Hello All,

I'm using PXIe 6363 (10V) to acquire data from four sensors with 10k ohms impedance each. That means I need at least 4mA current to drive the sensors (4 x 10V/10000ohms = 4mA). How much is the current rating for AI channels of PXIe 6363 and where do I find this information? Thank you.

AI stands for Analog "Input" and inputs don't supply current.

So I will have to power my sensors through external power supply? Thank you.

You can use the +5V terminals on each connector to power your sensors.

What sensor are you powering? does it have to be strictly 10V?

Thank you for the screenshot!

I have four linear potentiometers to measure displacements which need 10V (and have 10kohms impedance), so the 5V terminal might not work.
