Current reading too high

I am using a PXI chassis with the 4070 Dmm.

When placing an ammeter in series the ammeter reads 25 mA but the 4070 reads 187 mA.

A second reading of 50 microAmps read as 500microAmps on the 4070.

Tried a second 4070 in the sam PXI chassis with the same results.

Can you post some more details as what VI are you using? Are you using soft front panel? What version of driver you are using?

Does voltage measurement also give you similar type of error in reading? When measuring current between which input terminals of 4070 are you connecting the cables? Please refer NI Digital Multimeters Help for more information on DC current measurement using 4070.

Problem is resolved.  Found the instrument had not settled when read.
