Cant communicate with CRIO

When we were upgrading to V28, our Crio quit responding.

It started to update, then froze at the "rebooting Crio". Now the imaging utility does not see the CRio. The Status LED blinks once (indicating the CRIO is not configured). I couldn't even get it to boot in safe mode. Also tried to reset the IP address and any other combination of jumpers that I thought would be useful, and it did nothing.

Also tried using the MAX explorer, which couldn't find it either.

I connected to the serial port, and I can see it boot up. It says there's an error finding the "/c/ni-rt/system/vxworks". The IP address is 0.0.0.0

Is the FRC_2011_v28.zip unqiue to Labview or C++? Its possible I tried loading a C++ version as a Labview version (if there is a difference)

Also, I was using my work laptop for the firmware upgrade. Any chance the firewall is getting in the way?

Anyone have this problem? Any way to recover it?

I believe that the problem is stemming from the fact that the version of the vxWorks file (the file responsible for the FPGA code) is not the same between what's on the development computer and the cRIO.

You can fix this by FTPing the file from the cRIO (it should be located at /ni-rt/system/vxWorks) to C:\WindRiver\WPILib on your computer.

You can use your windows explorer as an FTP client.  Simply open windows explorer and type in the IP address.  More information can be found here: http://www.learnwebdesignonline.com/misc-tutorials/explorer-ftp-client.htm

After you do that, you should be able to regain communication to your cRIO.
