Hey,
Are you trying to create a new robotics project? If so, you can open LabVIEW and select "New FRC Robot Project" from the main window. I've included a link to our getting-started guide for LabVIEW below.

If you haven't installed the FRC Update Suite for LabVIEW, you won't have any of the FRC-specific functionality. I've included a link below where you can download the Update Suite from.

Let me know if you still have questions!

I think I might be misunderstanding what you mean by template. If you're talking about the general roboRIO project template, you can get it by clicking on the highlighted button in the image below:
If you're looking for a different template, can you clarify what you're looking for?

If you've installed the Update Suite and still don't see that screen, it'd be helpful to see which screen you do have.
I'm guessing you likely see LabVIEW 2016 rather than LabVIEW FRC 2016. If so, I'd suggest installing the LabVIEW downloader from the link provided. Install that and then the Update Suite.
The 2016 FRC Suite was built on top of LabVIEW 2015 rather than 2016 and that'd cause you to run into problems trying to get the robotics project to show up.
Is it possible to share your screenshot if it doesn't match what aprillest posted?
