Robot Code

I am from team 2640 the Hotbotz.

Last night we tried to deploy the code from our laptop to the cRio. We pinged from the computer to the cRio and there was communication, but the computer kept saying that it could not find the cRio. And when we connected the drivers station to the cRio, it said "no robot code". When we connected our laptop back to the cRio and tried to deploy a blank code, we had the same problem. What do we do to get the code to deploy and find the target cRio??

Hi Lily,

In your robot code project, have you made sure you have the correct IP address for your robot? Could you post a screenshot of the error message you are receiving?

Another way to make sure the computer correctly detects the cRIO is to do the following:

1. Open Measurement & Automation Explorer (MAX), found here: C:\Program Files\National Instruments\MAX\NIMax.exe

2. On the left hand side, expand the Remote Systems branch

3. Your cRIO should be listed there if it is detected.

If it is not detected, I would try turning off the Windows firewall and maybe trying another ethernet cable.

Let me know what you find out after trying these steps.
