You will be able to use C:\ to access local memory. If the code you are using is on the cRIO you don't need to worry about addressing it with IP address first but if you are running a VI on your development PC that needs to access files on the cRIO you need to worry about using the IP Address before the directory structure.

i didn't realize that the cRIO had a C-drive directory structure like a PC. Its working now!
