I have a Windows 7 computer. I'm pretty sure I have Labview correctly installed. I have attached and installed a Logitech Dual Action Gamepad which Windows recognizes and I have configured with the Logitech Profiler. But whenever I try to create a Remote Control Program I get the error "Labview cannot initialize the joystick" and the program closes.
I have uninstalled and installed Labview and the gamepad a number of times but nothing changes. What am I missing?

Hi Jeff,
Can you try and see if the remote control program will run without the joystick plugged in at all? It should default to using the keyboard in this case.

Hi Jeff,
Its possible that uninstall and reinstalling LabVIEW several times could make it more difficult to identify the source of this problem. Can you please share with us the model and vender of the computer you are using, and list all NI software installed on your machine.
Thanks,
Mark

I have recently helped a team with this same behavior. The controllers were not visible in the robot project remote control. They could use the keyboard and other programs could use the controller including the FCS program. We tried multiple controllers in multiple USB ports on the gateway laptop.
