There is a cosmetic issue when using the link "report to a moderator":
This is clearly a multipurpose tool to notify the moderator of any possible issue with a certain post (correct a broken link, delete wrong image, delete spam, etc.) and it should not be limited to "inappropriate content", whatever that means.
However, once I click that link, the title is: "Report Inappropriate Content", and if I compose the entry, I even get a "tip" below the edit box, telling me to "Please enter the reason you believe the content is inappropriate".
This should be toned down a bit and the word inappropriate" removed. (It's inappropriate! :D)
Also, I could not find a mechanism to contact the moderator without involving a specific post, e.g. from the forum home page. Something more direct and forum specific than the generic "Contact NI" link.
Similarly, there should be a "report to moderator" on the profile page of each user. For example, if a spammer appears, it might be more direct to report a user instead of tracking down the posts.

I'm not sure if this a bug, but I will point to this thread which discusses an Unexpected Error that just happened...
I just noticed that the HTML tags that allowed us to easily edit the link is gone. D'ahhhh!!!!! Why? Why remove it? It didn't annoy anyone!!

Saverio said around the fifth or so page
"This is most likely due to the agonizingly slow loading of the message editor. Is it just me, or is it actually slower than the previous one? If you click on the "Quote" button before the editor has loaded the toolbar you get to the "Unexpected Error Has Occurred" page."
I was getting the error too, and this explanation seemed to cover it, for me at least. I've also noticed taht since that post, my reply page has been loading much faster...

When I increase the font size
of a multi-line post, the line spacing
is too small.
(Not sure if it is only during editing or also in the final post. We'll see! This in in chrome)
Strange, seems the font reverts to small when I post.....

I do need to rearrange and clean up the idea exchange modules. tst - are you talking about the post preview when you are on the Unread discussions page where you can toggle between preview and full text?
My preferences:
Obviously, I would prefer a normal board setup, where discussions with the most recent postings would be on top. This would eliminate the need for both the newest comments and Unread discussions modules.
Excepting this setup, I have had no problem using the Unread Discussion modules, other than it's placement on the page. (Although a button to open all in tabs would be really fantastic). Being that this is should have almost identical function to the Newest Comments section, and that the Newest comments section is broken, you may as well do away with the Newest Comments.

Yes. Both are annoying. I want a list where every thread has a single line, just like the standard board view Tim just mentioned.
Additionally, clicking the text in the unread module brings me to the thread, not to the first unread message. For that, I have to click the number, which is annoying now that I've configured the rest of the forums to work with the text.
You can definitely get rid of the latest comments module, as it's pointless.

- The font in your screenshot definitely looks different from what I see. Also, what is your monitor resolution? I'm not certain what you mean about the HTML tags, you can still edit your message in HTML form so I think I'm missing something. I think your unexpected error was due to a bad link in a message that has since been corrected. I have not noticed the cursor disappearing. Let me know if you notice something that causes it to happen.
Hi Laura,
The screen resolution is 1680 x 1050.
The HTML editing... How do I explain this? Here goes...
In the past, when entering a message that contained a link, i would simply click on "View as HTML" and it would display the link and the text within <A> text </A> html tags. The last time I tried it, it only contained the actual link, not showing the text that gets displayed.
I will try again... THis is a link to this thread
http://forums.ni.com/t5/forums/replypage/board-id/130/message-id/7567
I will now edit in HTML: (first preview, then edit in HTLM)
Here is what I get:
<p>I will try again... THis is a link to this thread</p>
<p>http://forums.ni.com/t5/forums/replypage/board-id/130/message-id/7567</p>
<p> </p>
<p>I will now edit in HTML: (first preview, then edit in HTLM)</p>
<p> </p>
There are no <A> </A> tags to edit the text where the link goes to.
I'm not sure if my explanation is clear... Irregardless, that portion of the html code is no longer there.
Thanks,
RayR
