Are snippets no longer supported by modern web browsers?

This comes up about once every few years because I rarely use snippets, but every time I need to I have to go through this exercise to figure out the secrete method I need to use on something that is supposed to be a simple "drag and drop" to make it actually work.

So far this morning I have tried:

1. "Drag and drop" from Internet Explorer 11.0.9600.19035, Chrome 70.0.3538.22, or Firefox 62.02.2
   1. Results in an IMAGE of the snippet being inserted into the block diagram
2. "Copy and paste" from Internet Explorer 11.0.9600.19035, Chrome 70.0.3538.22, or Firefox 62.02.2
   1. Results in a LINK to the snipped being inserted into the block diagram
