Cancel Button in posts leads you to the wrong page when multiple tabs open

Solved!

At least for me (Chrome, Windows 10 and Android) when I have multiple forum tabs open and whilst typing a response, click Cancel, the page that tab returns to is not the thread I was replying to, but rather the next tab along.

Any idea why this might be? I only noticed it fairly recently (last couple of weeks).

It goes to the most recently opened page, even if that was done in another tab.

Has this always been the case? And would it be possible to instead have the page go back to the thread you were replying to, or in the case of a new post, the board you were posting to?

I'd guess that would be a preferred behaviour for most users.

Yes.  And I agree with you, it should return to the post you were replying to.

Hi cbutcher,

If you have multiple tabs open, and you happen to click cancel when replying to a topic, you will be taken back to the page you were last "active" on. This is the intended behavior of the community system. We can raise your feedback as an improvement to our community provider though.

Thanks,
