Edit window misalignment

This has been a problem for a while now (started with one of the recent forum updates).

Basically, the edit window is sometimes fine if we are starting a new thread (not always, my current edit window is bad too!),

but often it is bad with the frame border clipped (=invisible) top&left.

I'm unable to reproduce this in Chrome 70x on Windows 10. My resolution is 2560x1440. What size is your browser at when this is occurring for you?

My monitor was the same resolution as yours. Window 10 fully updated. Chrome current.

I don't think it depends on the window size, but maybe you can try the same as in the unscaled picture.

Try a couple of times, sometimes it looks ok.

Perhaps it is affected by the post content that is being replied to. If you encounter this again, can you please provide a link to the post you were replying to?

It actually happened too when starting this thread. No previous content. ( Actually started thread but cancelled before writing anything, the started again first time it looked ok). I'll do a few tests when I am near a computer again.

I occasionally see it on all my computers. The window is typically comfortably wide (~1200 pixels).

Sometimes the line appear and disappear at random while editing, for example when I started writing this post, the top and right border was missing, but when I kept typing, the top line appeared. The right border is still missing (image).

Resizing the browser window width shows the right border at some sizes. If I slowly resize it disappears and appears randomly every couple of pixels. Resizing by a couple of pixels allows it to either appear or disappear. I can always find many locations where the border disappears.

For example if I make the browser window slightly larger or smaller, the right border might appear.

We're still having trouble reproducing this one. It's unclear if this is local to your machine or a more widespread issue.

Does it occur on other machines?
Does it occur if you clear your cache / use a private browser?
If you grab the bottom right of the text editor and move it around, does it seem to address the issue?

Yes, it occurs on all my machines and it seems random which, if any sides are missing.

Here's me composing this very reply.

Curiously, after entering more text, the top line appeared out of the blue.

I still see that with almost every single post I write. Does really nobody else have this problem?

(Well, everything is fully functional and this is only cosmetic so no big deal in the short run....)
