New Login Page/Authentication Method

After clearing the cache and the cookies, I saw it once, but not since then. I will keep using it and see if it comes back.

Also, I will say that when it did happen, I was logged out of the forums, but not out of ni.com (meaning I did see the Hello XXX, this is not me link)

I'm having a weird issue where I try to sign into the Communities site and then it asks to confirm the account.  But I never get the email to confirm the account.  It isn't in the junk folder.  I can't do anything with the communities except browse as a guest.

I logged out of everything and even cleared the cache.  Signed into the communities site and left it at the confirmation page.  Using another tab, go to the forums and it signs me right in.

Windows 7 64-bit, Firefox 19

Thanks for testing it out. Hopefull that'll resolve the issue. I still have yet to be logged out of the forums. Also, it's worth mentioning that the idle time is set to 90 min at the moment - meaning if you're idle in the forums for more than 90 min you will be automatically logged out and will need to click the login link. Your cookie info should still be stored, so you shouldn't have to re-login, just click the link. Had you been idle for more than 90 min when seeing the behavior earlier?

I'm going to mention Hassan in this post as he is the point of contact for this validation. He might be able to add to my explanation.

I experienced something similar. If you have a new account you should get the email automatically. If you have an existing account (like you and I do) you will need to select the "Send new confirmation email" button. This confirmation only affects the Community at this moment. You are not required to validate your Forums account as of right now. You should only have to validate your profile one time, so if we validate Forums accounts in the future you should not have to go through this process again.

No, it was more on the order of 10 seconds to a minute. Basically, it was log in (successfully), click a link and you're logged out.

I am having exactly the same problem. I never get a validation email. I even created a new account and it validated correctly. This is getting frustrating as I need to access a private group and am unable to do so until I can validate.
