I will soon be updating the ranks.  It will take awhile first for me to update each rank and then the forums will have to re-index everyone so it may take a while for all changes to take effect.

The ranks have been updated!

You will notice new names for the ranks although the names have been preserved as much as possible.  You will also see changes in the "3 bars" that correspond with the ranks.  The left box reflects activity in Kudos, accepted solutions, and tagging; the middle box reflects post count, and the right box reflects message views.  

At the moment I am not divulging the exact levels in case some of you want to take a guess.  Post count levels have not changed.

It just jumped out at me that the bars looked different.

You say the post count levels have not changed.  But did the color of the bar change related to the name?  I did have a red middle bar, now it is orange.  I'm still zealot.  Previously the solid orange was enthusiastic at 2000, and the red bar was zealous at 5000.

Now I'll have to track down an enthusiast to see what their color is.

Ravens Fan - the color for the middle box did not change for the post levels.  However, your right and left boxes became darker and now match the middle.

I can't tell the difference between the red and orange bars. And I'm not color-blind. I think the difference in hues is a little too subtle.

Or is red actually dark orange? Note: I'm just making a comment about the colors as far as a UI comment. I have no comments regarding the rank system.

You're right the differences between the oranges are a bit subtle.  It looks like there are essentially 4 shades.

I got into compiling a list of badges to get a comparison.  Then it really got me looking for them all.  This may not be a complete list.  But I bet it is most of them.  And I'm not even touching the blue bars.

I thought the old zealous middle bar was a reddish/pinkish bar.  But now that I finally found the old badge (after compiling most of the list) I see that the middle bar really hasn't changed, it just looked a bit more red/pink/orange, because the outer bars were a lighter shade of orange in comparison)

So I think what has happened is there that the deepest color has now been added to the first and third bars and there has been a consolidation in naming throughout the list.  Some of those colors may not even be practically possible.  For instance, it would be pretty much impossible to get an enthu siastic member.  Somewhere along the way to 5000 posts, you would have had to had a lot of page views and gotten stars/kudoes along the way.

Without going through all the endless combinations, here are the shades of blue.  It looks like there is a new dark blue making a total of 4 to go with the 4 orange shades.
