Hi Gerd,
Are you still seeing this issue? I tried with a few different accounts and could not reproduce the problem.
Thank you for including the error message! Even if the issue doesn't persist we'll be able to pursue why it may have occurred and how we might be able to prevent it in the future.
Thanks,

Hi Matt,
just now I wanted to check my notifications as there was a "1" hovering over my avatar image:
Even better:
- I cannot go back as suggested in the error message as the "back" button is greyed out in Firefox (using backspace doesn't work either)
- clicking the "Return to…" link also does NOTHING even when Firefox tells me it's this link:

I got that error this morning as well. But the "Return to my original page" link did work. Then I just click on the notifications again and it came right up.

Hi guys,
Once the error message was no longer shown, did you have a new notification? Do you have any idea what that notification was? It is most likely that there was something unusual about the specific activity that generated the post (it may have been a post that was moved or deleted, or may have just been a spam post that was removed). If we can track down what was unusual about the notification that triggered the issue, we'll be closer to preventing the issue in the future.
Please let us know if there's any info you can provide on this, and if you see this error again!
Thanks,

Hi,
one more (new?) feature of the notification page:
Everything looks fine here - at first view…
BUT: why did my avatar image tell me I have 4 new notifications - before I went to the notifications page!?
And where are all the older notifications gone? That page used to show older (read) notifications too…

Hi,
same problem again: "You don't have any notifications." Sure I have new notifications (as well as older ones) - it even was indicated at my avatar!
Is there some server/load balancer not responding fast enough?
After reloading the notifications page everything is normal again…
