What is considered "new" and "unread"?

In the last days I often noticed unusual display of the thread list:

Even though I was answering in a thread my own message was marked as "1 new message in the thread". Or there are even 5 "new messages" as in "govindsankars" thread!

I also read wiebes answer in the 3rd thread before coming back to this list: it still is shown as unread…

This came up several times in the past. Sometimes it happens in threads or posts are moved or merged. Sometimes it just takes a while.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Altenbach is correct. We have confirmed this is a bug in our community system and are working with our community provider to identify a solution. The issue occurs after moving posts within a board. We will keep you updated with any new information.
