Who are Experts?

First time I noticed this tab was yesterday.  Curious

We're not using that functionality. I think it turned on when I enabled the Kudos count sort the other day. I'll see if it can be decoupled and turned off.

These are the carryover kudos from the old rating system. They are not tied to a donor, so some of those could be even from me. 😄

Experts typically have a higher Kudo "weight" which means that they can give more than one Kudo at a time. We haven't been using that feature, but in order to get the ability to sort by Kudos in the Recent Kudos Received widget (requested in another thread), I had to enable Kudos weight, which made that Experts tab show up.  Sigh...

Why the sigh?

After we finish the conversation about the "long tail" we may be able to put that feature to good use.

thinking out loud....

If the long tail reveals our experts then they can use Kudos to help bring the good post to the top.
