language setting for the forums ignored, why?

I'd like to use english on NI Forums, went to my profile > preferences > selected english, saved, see teh "success".

After that forums is in english.

If I logout and log back in, forums language is french again, and in my profile settings "french" is selected.

Can this be fixed?

Hi Antoine,

This is occurring as your ni.com locale is set to France. You can find this setting at the bottom right of the site footer.

The community is using this locale to determine a user's language setting. Unfortunately, it seems to be overriding your manually selected language. We are looking into if there are any workarounds for this. We will let you know when we have an update.

Do you know how the default value is selected for this locale? Is is stored in some cookie or linked to the NI Profile?

There is a cookie for locale which stores the information which will determine the site language.
