Flexlogger 2019R3 csv data rate

I have an NI9189 chassis with NI9222 modules.  I am trying to acquire data at 500 kHz which is the rate the modules are capable of doing.  What does the Flexlogger csv data rate setting do?  It limits the setting to 1000 Hz max.  I input a 10 kHz sinusoidal test signal but the csv file shows only about 15 samples per cycle and displays something that is not much of a sine wave.  What is the reason for the lack of data recorded? Is it the csv setting?

The computer? If so, what are the computer capability requirements?

I have i5-6200U CPU 2.3GHz. 2 cores

8 GB RAM “installed”, 868 MB ”available physical memory”, 15.8GB “total virtual memory”.

My LAN which directly connects to the 9189 chassis is good for 1 Gbps according to the computer network info.  I am using a Windows 7 OS.

Hey RHGE,

Yes, there is a 1 kHz cap on the CSV data rate in FlexLogger. I believe we do this for performance reasons because you can automatically export to a CSV file.

My recommendation is to generate a TDMS file, and then, "Save As" a CSV file via the TDMS Viewer or DIAdem in post-processing.The plugin that converts TDMS to CSV in the TDMS Viewer or DIAdem does not have the 1 kHz cap and will convert all of the data points.

Thanks,

Andy

I created a TDMS to CSV plugin here:
https://forums.ni.com/t5/FlexLogger/Changing-Time-Logs/m-p/4395317#M878

It has an option to not resample so you get all the data the TDMS does.

In case anyone in the future needs this, I thought I'd post on this old thread.

Thanks,

Brad
