Build library into package using the CLI

Solved!
Go to solution

Hello!

I am looking for a while now for a way to build a package in G Web via the command line. As you know it from LabVIIEW, you can load a project via the CLI, select the desired build spec (.lvdist) and then create the package from it. Unfortunately it seems to be only possible to build a application via the gwebcli.exe but not a package/ library?

Has anyone tried this and can help me?

The CLI for GWeb included only a subset of the functionality from LabVIEW NXG and the ability to build a distribution file wasn't included. We will add this ability in future versions of GWeb. Unfortunately there is no other way to build a package in GWeb using the command line.

Oh ok that's pretty bad news. The project I'm currently working on is supposed to be built and distributed via the Gitlab CI.

Is there possibly already a rough schedule when I can expect the function?

Supporting this functionality is a high priority for GWeb but we don't have a schedule yet of when it will be available. I will update you in this thread when we have any updates on when this functionality will be available.
