Any chance of some example code for 2012 also?  Can anyone port them back to 2012 please?  Or are some of the functions not there in 2012?

Unfortunately the API changed a fair bit between 2012 and 2013...it would not be a straightforward task to try to backport the examples to 2012.

The built in NI App Builder API works for Packages as well (vi.lib\AppBuilder\AB_API_Simple\NI_App_Builder_API.lvlib). We use it to automate the building of our NI Packages. We have only used the Build and Get/Set Build Specification Version. The Get/Set Build Specification has bug in the pre LabVIEW 2019 versions and has to be retrieved/set via ProjectItem Tag invoke nodes.
