NI-Scope 2.0 doesn't start

My goal is to work with a NI 5112

I have installed the digitiser in a free PCI-slot: no hardware problems (driver version 2.0.0f0 works fine)

1. I have installed the NI-Scope Software from the NI CD-rom (version 2.0), but Scope-SFP does not start:
error message:
NI-DAQ 6.9.1.f28 OR HIGHER COULD NOT BE FOUND.
YOU NEED TO INSTALL EITHER NI-DAQ 6.9.1,
RELEASED VERSION, OR NI-SCOPE (WHICH INSTALLS NI-DAQ).
NI-SCOPE 2.0 WAS FOUND, BUT COULD NOT BE LOADED.
NI-SCOPE 2.0 MAY NEED TO BE INSTALLED AGAIN.

2. I downloaded and installed the following drivers from the ni.com:
* NIdaq69
* niscope201
But that didn't help

3. In the Measurement & Automation Explorer, I am not able to see the installed NI5112 digitiser

4. Here's the Report, created with the Measurement & Automation:
http://users.ugent.be/~tovthuyn/werk/rapport_for_NI/max_report.htm

How should I proceed with my problem?

Update:

With following I am now able to launch NI-Scope Front panel, but still the NI5122 is not recognised in MAX:

* uninstalling NI-Scope 2.0.1
* uninstalling NI-DACmx8.5 (that came with LabVIEW 8.2)
* installing NI-DAQ 6.9.0 (not 6.9.1)
* installing NI-Scope 2.0
* placing NI5112 in free PCI slot (+ installing new hardware => OK)

Hi Tom,

You have an older version of the NI-Scope driver. I would uninstall the driver you have and download and install the latest version of NI-Scope (v3.3.1). Once you have upgraded your driver please check to see if the NI-5112 is present in MAX under Traditional NI-DAQ devices, it will not show up under NI-DAQmx devices.

Hope this helps!

Hi Abhinav,

Thanks a lot for your responsiveness.

After my reply 2 (above), I rebooted my system and then the NI5112 was present in the MAX.
And I am now able to acquire data.

Apparently downgrading the NI-DAQ from 8.5.0f5 to 6.9.1f28 also did the trick.

Other differences between the no good and the good configuration are:
NI-PAL Software: 2.0.0 => 1.4.5f0
NI-SCOPE: 2.0.1 =>2.0

Here's my current MAX-report:
http://users.ugent.be/~tovthuyn/werk/rapport_for_NI/max_report2.htm

But no doubt that your sollution also would have helped. Thanks again!

Tom
