LabView and Lego Mindstorm

Hi,

my daughter is trying to use some temperature sensors with Lego Mindstorm for her 6th grade science project. From all the info she gathered so far, it seems that she needs to program it using LabVIEW. However, she’s having a hard time finding a tutorial or videos on how she can make both of them work together. Has anyone in this group had any experience with that?

She has programmed Lego Mindstorm using motion sensors before, but she has never used temperature sensors with Mindstorm.

Any suggestion is welcome.

Hello fellow ALVINite,

If the temperature sensor is one that is made for use with the LEGO Mindstorm, then odds are that there are programming blocks available for download for use in the NXT-G environment.

Some questiions:

• temperature sensor - where is it from (LEGO, HiTechnic, other)?
• NXT Mindstorm or EV3?
• What is her prefered programming environment?
