Connecting Keithley 6517B via RS232-to-USB cable

sorry for interfering suddenly. From your comment, I understand that it is needed to wait until all data are recorded in the buffer, then read all the buffer to display the data. My understanding is that it is not possible to see the data in live when using staircase sweep voltage and measuring current for example. Am I wrong ?

Per extension, I have a 6521 scanning card, and I am trying to supply a sequence of voltage from 0 to 1V per step of 0.1V let's say, but I had trouble to recall buffer during the sweep. I need to use SRQ function, but this will happen at the very end of the experiment. So I have understood that it is not possible to monitor data on live.

Therefore, I am thinking to build a labview program that will set 1 voltage value, then read channel1, then read channel 2, ... , channel 10, then change voltage etc... In short, to see data on live, it seems that sweep function is not suitable.

Please let me know if my understanding is correct or not.

Goal : sweep voltage, read 10 channels for each voltage. Very basic.
