Device not responding to *IDN? query

Dear all,

I am using PC as CIC to communicate the GPIB controller, I am using MAX application for the PC side and Ni built ESP-488 non interrupt source package for TNT 4882 GPIB controller.

When I scan the device from MAX application, MAX application displaying message “Device not responding to *IDN? query".

Not all instruments respond to *IDN query especially the old ones. You need to verify with the manual.
