GPIB USB HS connection to TWO agilent instrument (power supply)

Solved!
Go to solution

Hi,

I am struggling to control two Agilent power supplies (E3631A) by using GPIB USB HS connection.

But, they are not detected as TWO different power supplies regardless of STAR or Linear Connection.

On the other hand, when I try to configure One power supply and One Tektronix Oscilloscope, they are regarded as TWO different instruments.

Also, single power supply control is OK.

So, I wonder how to configure TWO power supplies.

I am attaching the VI code to control only one power supply, and want to extend it to two instruments version.

did you configure the powersupplies to two different gpib addresses?

That is necessary!

Thanks a lot.

After setting ADDR of Power Supply, it works.

Hi,

Similary problem with TDK-Lambda Power Supply. I am struggling with connecting two power supplies by using one GPIB USB HS cable.

In MAX, there appears only one Instrument under GPIB tab. How can I connect and control the two power supplies seperately? Please help!!!

Thanks a lot in advance!

Jake

First the obvious questions:
Do they have different addresses?
Are both of them connected to the GPIB bus?
