Did you mean:

National Instruments Route Coordinator and NI Device Monitor takes up 100% disk on the task manager.

Hi All,

We are using Keysight M9018B main frame with PXIe-4141 cards installed in the slots. This is a new system, with Windows 10 OS, 16 GB RAM.

NI Route Coordinator and NI Device Monitor occupies 100% disk in the task manager due to which all other applications slows on the system.

Hello,

Did you ever find a way to resolve your issue? We are facing the same problem, though it is only the Route Coordinator doing it for us.

Windows 10, LabView 2023 Q3 64-bit, PXIe-1084 chassis with PXIe-8301, 5110, 5110, 4080, 4137, 4137, 2738, and 2567. No non-NI.

For us, niroco.exe is writing to C:\ProgramData\National Instruments\NI-DMM\nidmm408x.config and C:\ProgramData\National Instruments\NI 5110\configStore\niscope5110.config constantly, which seems to be causing the issue. However, when I remove niroco.exe's write permissions to those files, I am unable to maintain a handle to our PXIe-5110s, so that does not seem to be a viable solution.

The real disk usage killer is that, while writing to these config files, niroco.exe seems to write a few times as much data to the NTFS Volume Log.

Thank you very much,
