Ocean Optics Flame-NIR Spectrometer Labview Drivers

Has anyone figured out a way to use the Ocean Optics 2000 4000 labview drivers with a Flame-NIR spectrometer? I've used these drivers with the USB 4000 spectrometer and am hoping to use them for my new Flame-NIR spectrometer, but so far it doesn't even detect the Flame-NIR. I see driver's list of supported devices that the "Flame" is listed, but "Flame-NIR" is not.

Maybe there will be an update from NI on this driver soon?

Hi

Can you give the number that is used in the Flame-NIR spectrometer for the identification?

This number is stored in the user data.

If you open the initialize.vi you see on the right the spectrometer data.vi

In this vi that number is used the lookup the specs of the spectrometer.

If needed I can help in programming but don't have acces to a Flame-NIR.

psab87,

The Ocean Optics 2000 4000 Driver is actually produced by Ocean Optics. While National Instruments supports the current functionality of the driver, Ocean Optics must add additional hardware support and update the driver.

Thanks for the help!

The Vendor ID (for Ocean Optics) is 2457, and the Product ID (for the Flame-NIR) is 104b. Is this the number you're referring to?

Thanks again!

You are probably referring to the usb vendor and product ID but that is not what I ask.

Run the ocean optics driver in LabVIEw and open the blockdiagrams.
