USB RS 485 port not identified or populated in MAX during restart of PXI System

Hi all,

I have a scenario, I was able to work with the NI USB RS485 communication cable yesterday and today when I started my PXIe system it's not detected.

I physically need to unplug and plug it back so MAX detects. Is there any work around for this because I don't want to unplug and plg action to be performed here.

Hello grimmy123,

Have you tried selecting View -> Refresh in NI MAX?  This is usually the best way to update any connections.

If you ever have issues with your devices not displaying in NI max then this link has useful steps to follow.

Thanks for the support, I suspect the power options settings for USB makes sense. I have disabled it as shown in the KB. I'll work on this and update you.

Most of the checks I have already verified. Hope this might be the cause.
