estimado, con esta configuración el programa realiza lo que necesito. El ordenador, envía un dato de temperatura a un instrumento, el cual obedece al dato entregado por el ordenador.

Nota: tengo que configurar una conexion ethernet...¿Por casualidad me podria orientar con respecto a una conexion entre instrumento y ordenador, a traves de cable ethernet, pero no haciendo uso de la red de internet? De ante mano gracias.

I would recommend that you use a dedicated Ethernet port on your pc. Plug it in and see if MAX automatically recognizes it. Otherwise, follow the instructions in MAX to add a tcp/ip resource. The ip address of your dedicated port should be set to the same subnet that the instrument is set to.

What is the make and model of the instrument? Have you searched for an existing driver?

for the test, i,m using the instrument AMETEK RTC-157, i not find drivers for this instruments.

Why use tcp function instead of VISA? Does it appear in MAX? The syntax of the command does not look correct. It's completely different than the serial interface.

Because i do setting a connection via ethernet where send datas of temperature from the computer to instrument.

Not use MAX, only connection for TCP

Syntax - the format of the command you are sending. You are sending just a number, no prefix, no termination character. Attach the programming manual.

If the instrument is VXI-11 or LXI compliant, you should be using VISA.

I don´t find that information. Can connect computer with instrument which register address IP and is recognized for the computer, send test ping for DOS and port ethernet is ok! but i have problems with port assigned for computer and syntax to data...

If you don't have the programming manual, there is nothing you can do. You just can't make up what you are writing to the instrument.
