Trying to install, and after selecting what I want, it wants me to allow removal of LabVIEW 2015 SP1(32bit). What would be the conflict this is trying to solve?
(and no, clicking Why am I seeing this? is not really more informative... )
This machine has 2015, 2018, 2019, and 2020 installed. What's the cause of this message?
Solved! Go to Solution.

I got a similar message. I hit cancel and it just restarts the wizard. Sorry, but I want to keep these versions installed and a VM is not currently an option due to IT policies.

I guess this is more a problem with the package manager/installer, but it still does not make any sense. We absolutely need to way to keep any old installed version intact (especially Tim who is so active in the version conversion forum 😄 )
Fortunately, I no longer maintain anything important in 2015, so I went ahead and OK'd the removal and the install completed fine. (On a side note, I only installed the 64bit beta.)
Still seems so random and unnecessary! Other old versions were left untouched.

Probably linked to drivers only being supported for previous 3 versions. So, for example, DAQmx 2021 will only support back to LabVIEW 2018.

I apologize for the inconvenience. This isn't an intentional behavior. NI is tracking the issue with Bug 1404653. A possible workaround is to re-install the previous version after installing the LabVIEW 2021 Beta.
