In the attachments you will find the results of the Level Ranges.gvi. I also attached a screenshot of the received signal (I and Q). They are mismatched and I am not sure if this is intended.

Hello EtuelDue,

Thanks for posting the information. It appears to be extremely similar to mine, and I am able to run a new project with a 2950 without errors. This leads me to believe one of the following:

1) LabVIEW Communications project is corrupted.
Can you please post your project or create a new project for testing?

2) LabVIEW Communications is corrupted.
Can you please try to repair the installation of LabVIEW Communications?

3) The USRP RIO is having a hardware issue.
Can you please try to run the project on another USRP?

The results of these tests should let us know where the error is being generated.

1+2) I use the "PC USRP RIO 40 MHz BW Single-Device Streaming"-Example from the "New"-Tab. I also created new projects on two different PCs but the behavior of the device is not changing. From my perspective this excludes errors from the software.

I will try repairing LV on my second PC but I think this will not change anything.

3) I have another device (2953R,120 MHz BW) where the "PC USRP RIO 120 MHz BW Single-Device Streaming"-Example is working just fine.

Regards,

Etuel

Hello EtuelDue,

Thanks for the information.

Have you tried updating or changing the Firmware Image on the USRP with the NI-USRP Configuration Utility?

I agree. It is definitely a hardware issue.

Yes, I tried overwriting the firmware also on both PCs. A hardware issue seems to be the most likely reason.

So, after talking with the NI Support (and some additional testing) the error only occurs on NI 2940 and 2950 devices under specific circumstances. It is after all a software bug. Thanks everyone for contributing your ideas!
