I am modifying an existing project that was running on windows XP. The new PC is running windows 7. I get the error 42 on the open data socket function when I am not connected to the unit. When the unit is connected I am getting the error 1101. I have read the forums and changed the DCOM settings and everything else I can find. None of the post I have read have come to a real solution. Is anybody able to help with this?
It did work one time and have not been able to get it to work again.
I am trying to connect to an Inficon RGA that uses the Quadra OPC. The OPC is not currently registered but plan on changing that.
Thanks

Hello markofdiego,
This forum is specifically for the LabVIEW Communications System Design Suite software package. The software is used for RF Communications Prototyping.
http://www.ni.com/labview-communications/
If you have questions with regards to communication to 3rd party devices using LabVIEW, such as an OPC Server, I recommend posting to the LabVIEW, LabVIEW DSC, Embedded Networks, Industrial Communications, or Instrument Control Forums (product dependent). These forums will be monitor by people who will be more equipped to assist you.
For DataSockets and OPC questions, I recommend the LabVIEW DSC Forum.

I have it working. It's on a different machine now. I think there was something on my laptop that was causing the problems.
Thank you
