At the request of customers, National Instruments will post internally-validated components which are known to work with as Desktop ETS targets with the current version of LabVIEW Real-Time. A list of general requirements is available at NI DevZone: Requirements for Desktop PCs as LabVIEW Real-Time Targets.
Component PC Solutions (LabVIEW Real-Time 2014+)
Dual CPU Server Motherboard Solution - 12 Core Configuration
Mid-level I217-V Solution
Mid-level I217-LM Solution
Component PC Solutions (LabVIEW Real-Time 2012+)

Component PC Solutions (LabVIEW Real-Time 2011+)
High Performance Solution
ASUS P7H55-M PRO Micro ATX Intel Motherboard
Intel® PRO/1000 GT Desktop Adapter
*Onboard Ethernet supported with beta Ethernet driver. This can be downloaded in the Downloads section of this Developer Zone article: Requirements for Desktop PCs as LabVIEW Real-Time Targets.
Mid-Level Solution
Low Cost Solution
Note: Most motherboards used with the Intel® Atom processor only have one PCI slot. This slot will likely need to be used for the Ethernet adapter.

Are the internal LAN controllers on the Gigabyte and Intel boards supported?

davidc10,
From my discussions with R&D, no - they are not supported.

I bought the Intel Pro/1000 GT desktop adapter and it is not supported in LV 2009 SP1. The Intel Pro/100 S desktop adapter works fine, but now I cannot find any of these cards to purchase for my ETS system. The chipset for the Intel Pro/1000 GT is not listed in the Requirements for Desktop PCs as LabVIEW Real-Time Targets document.

SumTumWong,
These validated components are only for LabVIEW 2010 Real-Time. While many may work in older versions, they were not tested, so we do not claim support.
The Intel Pro/1000 GT uses an Intel® 82541PI chipset, which I've added to the Requirements document. Thanks for noticing this omission.

One customer tested RT with 2.5" SBC with Intel® Atom™ processor up to 1.6 GHz on Pico-ITX™

Are Intel's 2nd generation Core-i7 processors (i7-2xxx) compatible with LV-RT 2010?

It would be nice if this list included some updated options. The Intel board does not seem to be in production anymore. Also the document neglects to mention that a video card will be needed with certain CPUs in the Intel board. It mentions needing a video card for the Gigabyte board but provides no criteria for selecting the video card (brand, model, etc).
I'd really like to see an updated "validated hardware" list for 2011 with some more current hardware. Thanks.

Hi Jody,
I'm in the process of finishing up the testing of new components with LabVIEW Real-Time 2011. I will be posting an updated components list shortly.
Take care!
