LIFA (LabVIEW Interface for Arduino) is old and no longer officially supported. It was replaced by LINX. See here: http://www.labviewmakerhub.com/linx
Regarding your issue with VIPM, you should first make sure that you have the latest version of VIPM. If that doesn't fix it, you might want to post on the VIPM (JKI) forums for support.
