Preview Feature in LabVIEW 2024 Q1: Developing a LabVIEW Project in an Older Save Version File Format

Well, there are so many things to consider.... and corner cases... it might be a little too much to expect a mature solution for the first time.

Yet I expect NI to seriously work on this and digest the feedback the users are giving!

Uisng this feature in 2024Q3 we have the issue that if we want to keep the project in a previous version (2022 in this case), but build the application in 2024 for testing purposes, it takes forever to do the build. I have yet to finish it as it just gets stuck for hours. If I change the version of the project to 2024 and re-run the build, everything runs at a normal pace and finishes as it should (still slower than it used to in 2022 e.g., but OK).

I have not seen a Bug filed for this issue. Is there any chance you could share code with me that demonstrates the problem?

No bug reported yet no. I am trying to establish if it has already been observed by others and whether it qualifies as a bug first.

This happens with several projects and I cannot share the code, but if it is an unknown issue I will try to recreate it in a shareable form later.
