"Bluetooth Connection" block crashes EV3 when in "Initiate"

I'm having a problem getting two EV3 bricks to initiate a bluetooth connection.

I've finally narrowed it down to an issue with the "Bluetooth Connection" block.  It can compile if it is set to on, off, or clear...but set it to "Initiate" and it will bork your brick.

I'm on firmware 1.09E with the newest version of Labview.  Anyone else seeing this problem?

Vermonty,

Can you send a screenshot of your code?

What specifically is the behavior if you try to use the initiate state?

The setting up bluetooth guide can be helpful as well:
