AVL 415S visa

I want to acquire data from AVL 415S Smoke meter.I connected AVL 415S to my computer via USB  to Serial Converter.I installed the converter's driver and run the vi(attached below)  but couldn't get any data.I couldn't find how to insert visa resource name.Could this be the problem?Could you please tell me how to get data from AVL 415S by correcting the vi attached below?

You just click on the pull down menu (the arrow on the right side) and select the port.

p.s. Get rid of the VISA Open function. It is not required.

When I pull down the menu I see only "refresh"and when I refresh nothing happens I cant see any ports

Do you have NI-VISA installed? The com port has to be visible in MAX.

I think I have installed NI Visa but to be sure where can I check it?Is there any section or option that shows installed NI toolkits?

You can check in MAX - Measurement and Automation Explorer. It should be on your desktop.

Thank you for your advice after installing NI-VISA the problem solved.
