Hello Astroboy,

You will have to use a driver built to support Advantech devices with LabVIEW. I did a quick search of Advantech's website and found a little information. The supported hardware and compatible version of LabVIEW will be dependent on the driver.

If you are looking to buy some data acquisition devices, make sure that you look into the reasons you should choose NI products. For starters, the measurement quality, software integration, and support make them the best buy available.

Hello,
I am using Advantech PCL-818L Multi-acquisition card.
I am using advantech for Labview driver.
I am satisfied with the single and multi-voltage read in and controls. But I am having problem using the DMA function to acquire multiple analog input channels for fast reading and accuracy. I used the example ADDMA.vi to play but I cannot understand how it works as there is no response from ADDMA.vi. I try every means and ways but it does not work well. What's more there's little info on tutorial on DMA functions.

Hi astroboy,

I didn't work with those kind of devices from ADVANTECH. When i had problems with the driver that ADVANTECH send to me with the devices, i called the supplier and he send me, the up-to-date driver for my LabView version. Try it ...

From my experiences, next time buy the NI ACQ cards that work great for years. I know that they are more expensive, but reliable.

I realy don't have any other suggestions.

Sorry...

Hello,

The NI Developer Zone is a great place to post to get answers to questions such as yours. Sometimes, a developer that has used similar hardware and applications will see your question and be able to offer you some advice. In this case, however, it seems that you may need some assistance from the manufacturer of the hardware and driver. To acquire information on your issue, please refer to Advantech's available support.

Sincerely,

Jared A

Hi Sheetal,
We do not have any LabVIEW examples for the Adam-400, but you might be able to purchase a LabVIEW driver from Advantech. Their website did not produce any results for drivers compatible with your particular hardware, so you might have to contact them directly to see what they have. I also stumbled upon this post, and you might find it helpful. Good luck!
