Blackfin Multi-Threaded Applications with Events

Hi JoeC,

Going back to your first post, you said when you added the second loop this continuous running of the top loop started. However if you run just the top loop of the code, it still have this problem: 1 loop.png

What are you trying to acheive? R&D is trying to gain more understanding on your application.

Thanks

Claire

Right now my application has a couple of loops running in the background doing RS-232 communication and collection of SPI port data that interfaces an AD7476A.  There are 3 other loops displaying data on the front panel.

I am then using the event structure to monitor for touch panel interaction.  It would be extremely beneficial to have this process sleep instead of continuously polling to see if something changed on the front panel.  This would save CPU cycles monitoring if something on the front panel has changed.

Hi JoeC,

Thanks for this information. Let me put together some more examples to demonstrate the problem to R&D.
