Hello,
I am trying to connect to a Nordic cRF51822 evaluation kit using Labview. I am using Labview 2013 on Windows 7.
I've tried using the IrDA discoverer as described in the link in this post http://forums.ni.com/t5/LabVIEW/bluetooth-LTE/m-p/2520082/highlight/true#M766028
but I get and error.
Bluetooth discoverer also does not work and I don't know what to enter as address in the Bluetooth Open Connection vi.
When first connected the device is not recognised but after installation of a driver found here (http://www.segger.com/jlink-software.html) it can be detected and shows up on the device manager under com ports and USB (see picture).
Is there a way to tell if it is not working with the windows stack as described here (http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/8295C04C0A038E8686257500005CCA99)?
Any assistance would be much appreciated.
Regards
Stephen

Hi theboybatis,
As described in the KB article, installing a vendor specific Bluetooth driver overrides the Windows Bluetooth stack meaning you can't use LabVIEW Bluetooth VIs.
Is it a USB device? If so, you need to follow the steps in the KB to try and get the device working using the Windows Bluetooth drivers.
The IrDA protocol is only used for devices that communicate through infrared, the section of that article that is relavent to your device is at the bottom under the title "Overview of Bluetooth Client/Server Networks".
