Hey, I might have to reopen this line of enquiry.
I'm not sure what happened but I opened one of my older VIs, wanting to save it as a LV2023 version (because IT unfortunately gave me Win 11 and it only supports LV2022 and above) and it's broken again!
When I first reinstalled LabVIEW and opened one of my VIs that was already saved as LV2023 it was fine and unbroken. And then I continued installing all my other add-ons and drivers (both NI and third-party), and periodically opened this vi to see if it was still fine.
And I'm not sure what broke it (I last installed the NI-Industrial Communications for CANopen driver, I also uninstalled it but the problem didn't go away so it could be some other third party driver).
Could it be that it's calling the "wrong" Excel library / lvclass?
Is it possible to replace just the RGT/Excel Library from NI without touching LabVIEW?
I just tried searching Excel in the C: Drive to find these:
C:\Program Files (x86)\National Instruments\LabVIEW 2023\vi.lib\Utility\NIReport.llb\Excel
C:\Program Files (x86)\National Instruments\LabVIEW 2023\vi.lib\addons\_office\excel.llb
C:\Program Files (x86)\National Instruments\LabVIEW 2023\vi.lib\express\express shared\NI_ExcelFile
Are these correct? Is the RGT perhaps calling the Excel library from the wrong folder? I really don't want to face my IT again to ask them to reset my PC (again) within the span of a few days....
