Building a communication between Labview and Potentiostat from BioLogic

I am trying to build a system that can automatically control my potentiostat from BioLogic using Labview. The software I use now is EC-lab where I can input paraemters to control the potentiostat. I want to be able to automatically take in the parameters (current, voltage...) from a Matlab code and input to the potentiostat (without manually inputting the parameters to EC-lab software). Is there a way of connecting the output of Matlab output to the input of the Potentiostat, maybe Labview can help in doing that, but can someone help me in knowing how to do that?

Also, is there a way of keeping the EC-lab software and connect it to Matlab and the Potentiostat.

I am aware of the EC-lab Express software which allows control of the potentiostat from Labview but the program is very limited and not very user friendly.

I would appreciate some help and suggestions.

Thanks!

Please share the link to the potentiostat and associated manuals.

If the manufacturer has published document on the protocol or how to control from any programming language, then, sure, you can control it from LabVIEW or Matlab.

Worst case, the manufacturer kept it secret to be used only with their "paid" application, then, you could try reverse engineering the protocol but it will take a significant effort.

I'm not familiar with EC-Lab Express. From what I could see on the website, it looks to be very proprietary sw and doesn't look like they provide sw drivers to control the instrument.

As for the SW, one way of doing that is using Active X technology, where LV can access the functionalities of other SW, but depends if the EC sw allows this to happen. I would suggest you to contact your provider from Biologic, they may be able to guide you for the best solution.

There seems to be EC-Lab Developer Package with LabVIEW support
