Buttons won't work in event based state machine

Solved!
Go to solution

Hi everyone,

I was following the instructions for state machine construction in a tutorial and the code doesn't seem to work. It looks like the buttons placed inside the event structure are not being executed like they were in the video. I am confused as to where I went wrong since everything I did looks the same as the tutorial. I have attached the code and the type def created.

Thanks in advance!

For me the VI works as expected (from code review) - but I didn't watch the video…

What is your expectation and where does the VI don't follow your expectation?

Hi GerdW,

Turns out the embedded UI needs to be enabled on my CRIO 9038 before using the event structures! Did not know that beforehand so I was quite confused and thanks for the code review.

Yes, you even forgot to mention any cRIO in your first message…
