Today my friends I took my CLD exam. I'm thinking I must have passed, but the protor told me I may not see results until a month from now. Just wondering how it went for others on the board. My program functioned properly, I utilized a Producer/Consumer state machine, and I documented to the best of my abilities. The only things I am really concerned about is my style of documentation and timing. For timing I used a "Wait" set at 100ms in the Consumer. I documented everything to the best of my abilities, but still that is an area that I am usually lacking when it comes to Lab VIEW. As I said, the program was fully functioning when I finished.
Any thoughts? Don't even have to tel me if you think I passed, what was your experience with the test like?

This might be more appropriate in the Certification subforum.
That being said when I took my CLD it seemed to take forever to get my results. I think it was probably 2 months, and then another 2 months before I got my swag in the mail. I walked out of mine knowing I did pretty well. If you feel confident, you probably passed. If you didn't pass, well go over to the certification board I linked to and post some sample exams. They like to point out places that you can improve, and maybe speed up development.

If you bug the NI educational dept enough you could proabably get them to look at your test more quickly. I got them to grade the test the same day they received it! I don't remember why it was so important to get the results so quickly, but I had a legit excuse. Use the rep that helped you schedule your test.

It took about 6 weeks for me to get my CLED results and the guys that took the CLD at the same time also got their results the same time I did. Granted, there was NI Week just a couple of weeks after we took the exams, so I expected to have to wait. Last I heard, 1 month is the normal turnaround time.

I'm more impressed with this than any actual results. Took my CLA 3 weeks ago and am trying my best to just forget about it.

I just took the CLD in early August. The proctor stated NI's grading goal is to get the results out within 4 weeks, and I found out EXACTLY to the day that I passed.
I thought I had more functionality than what the grading indicated, but I don't know how some of the stuff is weighed, and I passed so I don't really care 🙂
The style and documentation points are pretty easy to come by, assuming you're regularly developing "good" LabVIEW code.
Best of luck!
