Calibrating a microphone using SVL Calibrate Microphone

Hi all,

So I'm working on a VI that dislays sound pressure level.

From the other discussions,  it says that SPL can't be measured unless you have a calibrated microphone and a known amplification path.

So basically LabVIEW has this SVL Calibrate Microphone (DAQmx) to calibrate the mic. However, I tried to use it but I've got no result.

I have an ECM 8000 condenser microphone and I'm using a USB-6215 DAQ.

How do I perform this calibration?

First, what do you mean that you "got no result"? No output from the mic? incorrect results?

When I run the SVL Calibrate Microphone, there is no output from the calibrated sensor sensitivity?

How do I connect my micropone from the DAQ, do I select it as input or select as output. How do I calibrate it?

Hi,

I saw that you posted your question on an old thread. In order to get more visibility, I would suggest creating a new thread with your question to get more chances to have an answer. Our forum community is rather active and this will allow you to have a faster answer. Hope this helps!
