Calibration Exec Error -2147467259

While calibrating a PXI 4472A, I received the following error:

Error -2147467259 occurred at Conn Execute.vi->cex_CustStdsDBReadWrite.vi->cex_GUIWizardDBLayer.vi->cex_GUIWizardExitTasksDBWrite.vi->cex_GUIWizardExitTasks.vi->cex_GUIWizardExit.vi->cex_GUIWizard.vi->cex_InvokeWizard.vi->cex_InvokeWizard.vi.ProxyCallerException occured in Microsoft JET Database Engine: Record is deleted. in Conn Execute.vi->cex_CustStdsDBReadWrite.vi->cex_GUIWizardDBLayer.vi->cex_GUIWizardExitTasksDBWrite.vi->cex_GUIWizardExitTasks.vi->cex_GUIWizardExit.vi->cex_GUIWizard.vi->cex_InvokeWizard.vi->cex_InvokeWizard.vi

at step Call Wizard.ProxyCaller

Possible reason(s):

LabVIEW:  (Hex 0x80004005) Unspecified error.

This error now prevents calibration of any PXI.  What do I need to do to get Calibration Exec to work again?

JILLY,

I have a couple of questions for you that should help us get to the bottom of the issue.

1) What version of Calibration Executive are you using?

2) Does this error occur only with the 4472A device? Have you tried calibrating any other NI Hardware with Calibration Executive? I am curious if we think the problem lies with the Calibration software itself, or with the 4472A device.

3) If this error seems specific to the 4472A device have you tried another 4472A device? Can we determine that the problem is not with the specific card?

4) Are you doing just a verification or a verification and adjustment, and when does the error occur in the process?

5) Can you let me know what test equipment you are using? What Calibrator are you using (recommended is Fluke 5700A), what Functions Generator are you using (Recommended is Agilent 33250A).

This should help us shed some light on the issue. Thanks!

AARON W.

This error comes up for all PXI's I have tried (4070, 4472, 6225, 6115, 6070E, etc).

I am using Cal Exec 3.3

JILLY,

Does this error happen as soon as you begin any sort of calibration, so as soon as you select the device and hit 'Calibrate'? Basically, I am curious when the error happens in the procedure. When you run the calibration are you running a verify only, or a verify and adjust?

I have seen where this error can indicate that something has become corrupt with the system. I would suggest trying to repair the Calibrations software or reinstall the software all together to see if you still get this error. Thanks!

Jilly,

I recently had the exact same error with my system after a blue screen crash. Somehow the CustomersandStandardsStorage database that holds all of my standards was corrupted and some of the information was erased. For me this file was located in the C:/Program Files/National Instruments/Cal Exec/Databases folder. I tried to manually repopulate the data but received a ton of errors.  So in order to solve this I opened a new database in Access and copied the tables (format ONLY not data) and then backed up the corrupted database (CustomersandStandardsStorage.bak). Once this was complete I renamed my new database template to CustomersandStandardsStorage and then the system worked correctly by populating that table automatically. I had some additional errors past that point involving duplicated Limits folders but hopefully you won't.

I hope this helps.

AAron,

Yes, this issue happens immediately after hitting the "Calibrate" tab so calibration does not actually begin.  It happens during both verify and verify/adjust.

JILLY,

If the issue is a corrupt database like Jerimiah indicated in the previous post, you should try and uninstall the software and re-install the software to see if this takes care of the issue. Thanks!
