I'm trying to initiate simultaneous data acquisition on two pc's, using one of the pc's as the control. The two pc's are close enough to one another that a cable connection could be made between them. I'm running the full version of labview 8.5.1 on both pc's. The ideal scenario would be for me to hit a "begin data acquisition" button on the one pc and have it simultaneously initiate data acuisition VI's on both pc's. Could someone please suggest ways of accomplishing this?
There are a few network options for sending and receiving data. Look into Shared Variables, Data Sockets, and if you need more control look into the ins-and-outs of VI Server.
Time sync can be a problem if you plan on sampling at fast rates.
