Cannot Download and Install Linx for Arduino Control

Hello,

I'm new to LabView and Arduino.  I'm working from home and want to learn LabView using an Arduino Uno.  I'm running MacOS 10.15.4 (Catalina) using LabView 2019 v19.0.1.  I have the Arduino Uno connected to my computer via USB.   I see that I need to download Linx to communicate with the Arduino.  However, when in the LabView MakerHub (http://www.ni.com/gate/gb/GB_EVALTLKTLINXLVH/US ), I found that clicking "Download Toolkit" doesn't work.  One of the trouble shooting suggestions is that I need to download the "VI Package Manager" first.  I downloaded the .zip, and ran the .dmg to install the VIPM.  Unfortunately, it sits in my dock with a big diagonal line, suggesting it will not work.  When I try to launch VIPM, I get an error stating VI Package Manager needs to be updated.

Is VIPM and Linx not supported on MacOS 10.15?  Any other suggestions on how to run Linx or communicate with the Arduino using LabView?

Hello.

Below you can find the instruction to Download the NI LabVIEW Interface for Arduino Toolkit.

Here you can find updated version of  NI VIPM for MAC OS x.

Also attached you can find useful NI Discussion Forum links relating to your issue:

Hello,

I appreciate the response to my question.  However, I'm still unable to accomplish my goal.

The links provided in your response do not appear to be any different than the prior links I had access to.  Meaning, I am running MacOS 10.15 Catalina.  As far as I can tell the VI ToolKit and Linx are both outdated, and are not compatible with "MacOS 10.15 Catalina".

By providing the link, are you suggesting that I should be able to download and run the VI ToolKit and Linx, which will work with MacOS 10.15?

If so, what am I doing wrong because when I donwload the ToolKit, I get a big line through the app and an error message saying the application needs to be updated.  Also, I do not see any files beyond 2012 in the repository:

"Index of /evaluation/labview/lvtn/vipm/packages/national_instruments_lib_labview_interface_for_arduino"

Any clarification would be helpful.  I'm pretty sure the issue is there is not MacOS 10.15 compatible version of Linx and thus I'm SOL until NI does something about this.  But, please correct me if I'm wrong.

Thanks again!

I am having the same problem here, I managed to install VIPM from VKI website but unfortunately I still cant get the LINX toolkit as it seems not available for MacOS users yet.  The problem is that I need it soon for my assignment coursework. Anyone knows another way to control Arduino using LABVIEW for macbook users ??

Hello, did you ever find a solution to this issue. I currently have LV Community 23 that’s supposedly supposed to already have LINX installed so need need for VIPM. This is not the case as I cannot find kind anywhere in the application so I cannot install the application.
