Coloring the border area only of Silver cluster controls programattically

You'd need the reference to the cluster regardless to set the "Color" property.  Just use the cluster reference to grab the docoration reference for the visible property.  No need to pass extra references around.

Here's another possibility.  The attached file contains a cluster with a 1-pixel wide border.  In the center of the cluster is a rectangle decoration.  Thus the background color of the cluster (which is programmatically accessible) looks like a border.
